Welcome to Marriage Guy and Gal, LLC!
The “Marriage Guy” is more commonly known as Tim, and the “Marriage Gal” is more commonly known as Michelle, but when we coach on marriage topics, we bring both of our perspectives and work together with you, so you get two coaches and the male and female perspective.
When you choose to work with us you can be sure that you will receive a truly unique and customized experience. We work from a Christian, Biblically-based worldview and bring our clients the best techniques from the fields of coaching, counseling, mentoring, teaching, and consulting and blend them as necessary to help clients move forward with more clarity, enhanced skills, encouragement, and hope.
We’d love to get to know you and how we might best be able to meet your coaching/Biblical counseling needs. Please click here for more information or to schedule a free “Get to Know You” session to make sure our services are a great fit.
Here’s a look at our credentials for you:
Tim and Michelle met at a Pittsburgh area amusement park during the summer of 1994 and were married in August of 1995. Over time, their family grew to include a son and two daughters. (It grew again to include two foster sons in 2014 with the hope of adoption, but those sweeties were only with them for a season, though in their hearts forever ;). Tim held a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Arizona and Michelle a B.A. in Communication/Public Relations/Journalism from Messiah College, Grantham, PA., when they got married. However, over time, Michelle obtained her M.A. in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA, and Tim and Michelle both completed life coach training through Light University, Virginia.
Tim’s “day job” is as a manager of engineering, and Michelle’s is a combination of homeschool mom and part-time mental health and drug and alcohol direct service counselor for a social service agency, and both Tim and Michelle run Marriage Guy and Gal, LLC as a business and also a ministry that came out of their desire to help others obtain success in their lives and relationships. Tim and Michelle have served over the years as marriage coaches, marriage and parenting class facilitators, and pre-marriage mentors through their church, and as more needs were noticed, their desire to offer services through what is now known as Marriage Guy and Gal grew.
Additionally, Tim and Michelle have had countless hours of training in parenting children from hard places (remember the foster parent season mentioned above?), and Michelle has also worked professionally with children moving into adoptive homes from foster care and with parents and children seeking behavioral health wrap-around services through mobile therapy and behavioral consulting.
Tim and Michelle are in the process of writing their first book on the benefits of intentional parenting, and they are available to speak on topics related to marriage, parenting, and finding your life’s purpose.
